The China-Turkey International Innovation Center, located in the Beijing-Daxing Airport City (BDAC), has been officially inaugurated in Beijing. The center aims to promote business interactions and the integration of resources in areas such as trade, logistics, airline tourism, and digital economy. Additionally, it will provide solutions to assist foreign enterprises in entering China and bring together international innovation platforms.
BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) – The BDAC (Beijing-Daxing Airport City) China-Turkey International Innovation Center was opened on Monday in Beijing. The center, established within the BDAC International Innovation Center, will encourage commercial interactions, cooperation, and negotiations between business communities from both sides, as well as the integration of resources in areas such as trade, logistics, airline tourism, and the digital economy.
Mehmet Murat Çalık, Mayor of Beylikdüzü, who attended the opening, stated that China’s technology has developed towards becoming a global leader and that they hope to collaborate more with China in the field of high technology in the future. Çalık said, "Currently, we are exploring cooperation opportunities in smart cities and smart education with China and the Daxing area of Beijing."
Wang Lunmao, an official from the Beijing-Daxing International Airport Economic Zone Administrative Committee, mentioned that the BDAC International Innovation Center is positioned as an exhibition platform for the Daxing region of the Economic Zone, as well as an international talent development and innovation platform. Wang noted that the center will provide solutions to the challenges foreign businesses face when entering China by offering innovative assistants, public platforms, financial services, branding, and spatial services. The center has already attracted several foreign-funded ventures.
The Chinese government’s work report for this year suggests expanding high-level opening-up with the outside world and promoting mutually beneficial and win-win outcomes. The report envisions strengthening the link between domestic and international markets and resources, reinforcing the foundation of foreign trade and investment, creating new advantages in international economic cooperation and competition, and enhancing efforts to attract foreign investment.
In recent years, the Daxing region of the Beijing-Daxing International Airport Economic Zone has continuously improved its ability to bring together international high-level elements, actively participated in the construction of the "Silk Road" in aviation, attracted foreign businesses to invest and develop, and helped domestic companies expand internationally and serve global markets.
The Daxing region of the Economic Zone will focus on creating four industrial clusters in areas such as life and health, international aviation, comprehensive duty-free and international logistics, and digital economy. Each cluster will feature a comprehensive area for industrial clustering, as well as integrated elements for research and development, office space, housing, commerce, entertainment, education, healthcare, and other components.
In 2024, the Daxing International Airport Economic Zone will focus on international high-level sectors. The formation of four key sectors—exhibition consumption, life and health, logistics, and science and innovation—will be accelerated. The Economic Zone will also promote the digital economy and service trade. A future-oriented global aviation city will be built in collaboration with enterprises.
